How is a fixed shank different from a SAV Slider™ anchor?

The shank is solid, not slotted, so there is no sliding ring or moving part at the pull point. Instead, the curved blade, ballasted tip, and self-righting design roll the anchor into position and dig in on their own, holding firm across sand, mud, gravel, and weed without needing to reset itself if it fouls.

Galvanised or stainless steel?

Galvanised runs from 10kg to 60kg and is the cost effective choice, the zinc coating takes the corrosion instead of the steel underneath. 316 stainless spans 6kg to 63kg and holds its finish for a bow that stays looking sharp. Both run the same plough profile, so it comes down to budget, size needed, and how you want it to look.

What size anchor for my boat?
