We Ship To Australia, The US And Canada.

Whether you're ordering from Australia, the US or Canada, stocked items are out the door within 1 to 2 business days and drum winches are built to order, so allow 2 to 4 weeks. Here's everything you need to know before you order.

Shipping, Freight And Returns In Detail.

Domestic shipping (Australia)

Stocked items: accessories, parts, anchors and replacement components are dispatched within 1 to 2 business days of payment clearing.

Drum winches and made-to-order items: built in our Australian workshop and typically dispatched within 2 to 4 weeks. We'll email you a build update if anything affects that window.

Courier freight: Smaller winches and accessories ship via express courier. You'll get tracking information once your order has been dispatched.

Pallet freight: Larger models, including the 3000 and above, are dispatched on pallet freight. Transit times for pallet freight are longer than standard courier and vary by destination. We'll confirm an estimated delivery window when your order is processed.

Shipping rates: Rates are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order and your delivery location. Regional and remote WA, NT and QLD addresses carry a higher rate than metro areas due to freight distance. For large or commercial orders, contact us for a freight quote before purchasing.

If you're on a remote rural route or need freight delivered to a depot for pick-up, let us know at the time of ordering and we'll make arrangements.

International shipping

We currently ship to the United States and Canada. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order, starting from $80 USD.

Orders over 41kg, including our larger winches, are too heavy to price automatically. Contact us for a freight quote before ordering.

We're not yet set up to ship to other international destinations through the website. If you're outside Australia, the US, or Canada, contact us and we'll see what we can arrange.

Customs and import duties: You are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs fees that apply in your country. We don't collect these at checkout and we can't predict what they'll be. Check with your local customs authority if you're unsure.

Commercial and bulk orders: If you're a dealer, distributor, or commercial operator ordering in volume, contact us before placing your order. We'll sort the freight properly.

Returns

Returns are case-by-case. We don't offer a standing change-of-mind return. If you've ordered the wrong model or changed your mind, contact us within 10 days of receiving the item and we'll see what we can do. Nothing is guaranteed until we've agreed on it together.

Talk to us first. Contact us or call +61 3 8361 8841 before sending anything back. Returns sent without prior agreement may not be accepted.

What we need. Proof of purchase, and the item unused, uninstalled, and in its original packaging with manuals and accessories.

Costs. Return freight is at your expense. If a refund is agreed, a 20% restocking fee applies.

What we can't accept for return:

  • Items that have been installed or used
  • Items with damaged or missing packaging
  • Custom-built or specially ordered units (contact us to discuss options)
  • Items returned without prior agreement

This is on top of, not instead of, your rights under Australian Consumer Law. If you're not certain whether your situation qualifies, just call us.

Warranty returns

Warranty returns are handled separately from standard returns and have their own process. See the Warranty page for how to start a warranty request.

Do not send a winch back as a warranty return without getting authorisation from Head Office first.

Damaged in transit

If your order arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Email info@savwinch.com, with:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the damaged packaging and the item itself
  • A brief description of the damage

We'll assess the claim and arrange a replacement or repair. Claims submitted outside the 48-hour window may not be accepted, so check your delivery as soon as it arrives.
