About Savwinch
Social Responsibility At Savwinch
Supporting communities, people, and responsible boating.
Savwinch social responsibility means taking practical action: supporting local clubs and charities, keeping products in service for longer, reducing everyday waste, and helping boaties care for the places they enjoy. These collective efforts make our world a better place to live in.

Where We Make An Impact
Tullamarine in Melbourne and Upper Coomera on the Gold Coast. Between them they cover Victoria and the southern states plus Queensland and northern New South Wales, which keeps parts and support close to where the gear actually gets used. See both locations.
We back clubs, competitions, and community events across Victoria, Queensland, and New South Wales, from grass roots local sports programs through to paralympians.
Seven years on the Stainless Steel Series and five on the Signature Series, both covering motor, gearbox, and 316 drum. Three years on the Classic Series motor and gearbox, and two years on electrical and accessories. Full warranty terms. These extensive warranties mean keeping gear on boats for longer, reducing waste and the impact on the environment.
Community
Supporting Clubs, Sport, And Boating Communities
We back local fishing clubs, sporting events, fishing competitions, presentation nights, and grass roots community sporting programs, through to national charities and charity events.
One example is Green Gully Soccer Club. Founded in Melbourne in 1955, the club competes in National Premier Leagues Victoria. Savwinch has been a major sponsor supporting its junior program, including the sports jerseys. Sport gives young people somewhere to belong, something to work towards, and good people around them. That is an impact worth backing.
We have also sponsored the volleyball paralympic team to purchase equipment, enabling better training and better outcomes for the sport.
On the water
Learning from boaties using the gear in real conditions. We have donated our gear to the Coast Guards that keep us safe on the water.
At the ramp
Turning up for club days, competitions, and community events. Sponsoring fishing events through product giveaways is one way we can contribute to these not for profits.
In the community
Supporting local clubs and junior sport.
Behind the gear
Keeping Savwinch products working with service and genuine parts.
Product longevity and waste
Repair More. Replace Less.
Savwinch products are built to be serviced and repaired. We stock genuine parts for the full lifespan of every product we sell, so a winch fitted years ago can be repaired rather than automatically replaced.
The same principle applies in the office. We reuse paper, recycle, and think carefully about what goes into the bin. None of it is dramatic. It is simply how the place runs.
When you make equipment designed to last, supporting it for the long term is part of the job.
Our people
Supporting Our Industry And Our People
Supporting our industry
We support our industry through membership with the Boating Industry Association of Victoria, advocating with them on issues that support the industry, and attending industry events including boat shows in Victoria, other states, and around the world.
Eleni, our co-owner, also volunteered as a Board Member in the Manufacturing Division and later as President of the BIAV, serving as industry representative and helping make the industry a better place for all.
Supporting our people
We pride ourselves in how we take care of, manage, and communicate with our staff. We foster a culture of excellence and set high standards of work in the team, and work life balance is also important to us. We believe in regular open communication, teamwork, and structure to achieve our goals.
We would rather work through the logistics than lose a good person. People have families, study, health needs, and responsibilities outside work. We aim to be open and flexible about how and when people work, wherever the role allows. Supporting staff wellbeing is part of how we run the business, not a perk created for promotion.
Responsible anchoring
Responsible Anchoring Helps Protect The Seabed
How you anchor can affect the seabed beneath your boat. A correctly sized anchor that is set securely and retrieved without dragging is less likely to disturb seagrass or reef habitat.
An undersized anchor, or one dragged along the bottom, can damage seagrass beds and reef structure that may take a long time to recover. It is part of the reason we developed our patented slider anchors, which retrieve easily from the seabed.
It is why we help boaties choose the right anchor for their vessel and conditions. The people who return to these reefs and bays year after year have every reason to look after them.
