About Savwinch
Australian Owned And Designed Drum Anchor Winches And Accessories, Engineered And Built To Last
Savwinch is an Australian-owned business, designing and engineering electric drum anchor winches and their accessories for the marine industry, and has done so for over two decades.
From our headquarters in Tullamarine, Melbourne, we invent and engineer anchoring systems for everything from tinnies and offshore fishing boats to charter fleets and commercial vessels around the world. We also branch out to other offerings like anchors, pot haulers, deck wash pumps, and more recently truck tarps.
Our story
One Boat. One Better Way To Anchor.
Savwinch began when founder Nick Savva set out to build a better drum anchor winch for a mate's boat. The only other drum winch available at the time was expensive and simply designed, with plenty of room for improvement. Drawing on his experience as a Sales Engineer with gearboxes and industrial motors, Nick designed the first Savwinch in his Melbourne garage. It worked, word travelled, and one practical solution gave birth to a small family business, and now a growing international business thriving on innovation, excellence, and valuing our customers above all.
Today, Savwinch products are installed on more than 10,000 vessels and sold across Australia, New Zealand, and international markets through distributors including Land 'N' Sea in North America.
