Truck Tarp Motor Kits

Gen 2 (coming soon): the 1500TT-CS has a powder coated steel motor and the 1500TT-SS has a 316 stainless steel motor. Both are IP68 rated, run an aluminium gearbox, and suit 12V or 24V. The bracket is sold separately.

Gen 1: the 880TT-CS (12V only) and 1500TT-CS (12V or 24V) have a powder coated steel motor, and the 1500TT-SS (12V or 24V) has a 316 stainless steel motor. All three are IP68 rated with an aluminium gearbox, and the stainless steel mounting bracket is included in the kit.

Gen 2 (coming soon) offers two types of installation.

Installation 1: replace the existing hand wheel with a Savwinch motorised solution. The motor connects to the existing tarp mechanism, allowing the tarp to be opened and closed quickly, safely, and effortlessly using powered controls. This retrofit option is ideal for trucks already fitted with a compatible manual roll-tarp system.

Installation 2: install the Savwinch motor directly onto the tarp system's main shaft for a compact and efficient powered setup. This direct-drive setup delivers the motor's power straight to the main shaft, helping the tarp open and close smoothly and reliably.

Gen 1: the kit comes with the shaft, pulley, and stainless steel mounting bracket and bolts. The motor and gearbox are fully sealed, so no motor cover is needed.

Gen 2 (coming soon) comes in three configurations.

Standard Package: unbundled electronics (solenoid, up/down switch, wireless remote, and circuit breaker). Choose this when you want the controller supplied separately and wire the electrical setup to suit the truck.

Optional Upgrade 1: bundled electronics with a waterproof box. The switch gear and wiring come pre-wired and protected inside the box, designed to simplify installation and reduce setup time.

Optional Upgrade 2: bundled electronics with an automated waterproof box. Set your tarp's open and close travel distances once and the motor stops at the same position every time. Built-in over-current protection cuts power if the tarp snags, a pulley jams, or movement is obstructed, before the motor can overheat or sustain serious damage.

Gen 1: sold as a complete kit, with the wireless remote, up/down switch, solenoid, and circuit breaker included. The SAV-EB-TT electrical box is available separately, a weatherproof enclosure that houses the solenoid, circuit breaker, and wiring connections in one sealed unit.

Gen 2 (coming soon): if your truck comes with a pre-supplied pulley, we can provide optional extras to complete the installation. These include our world-class split pulley, which simplifies the installation process, as well as a standard pulley and V belts.
