Warranty: What's Covered, And How To Request It.

Seven years on the SSS™ Series, five on the SS™, three on the CS™, and two on electrical and accessories for Australian and New Zealand customers. Every request is approved by Savwinch before anything comes back to us, and the request form is further down this page.

International customers: 2-year warranty on all parts (excluding rope kits) for recreational users. Where a request is deemed genuine, parts are airfreighted at no charge to the customer's city and state of purchase, anywhere in the world.

What You Do

How to Make a Request

  1. Complete the form below. All returns must be approved by Savwinch before products are sent back.
  2. Customer pays return freight to Savwinch.
  3. Include your tax invoice and this warranty request form with the return.
  4. Savwinch inspects and repairs or replaces the item at our discretion.
  5. Savwinch covers return freight costs back to you.
  6. Replacement product is only dispatched after the original has been received.

Before You Request

All warranty requests rely on proof of purchase. Before starting a request, take photos and video of the winch as installed, along with a description of the issue. Make requests promptly: delays may put a request at risk.

*Unless a manufacturing error is confirmed before use. Warranty also becomes void for:

  • Damage from uncontrollable corrosion or water ingress
  • Loss or damage from any act, matter or omission beyond Savwinch's reasonable control, including accidents or natural disasters
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Failure to maintain or service the product, or neglect or misuse
  • A product opened, tampered with, or modified without prior authorisation from Savwinch
  • Improper installation or unspecified applications, including non-OEM accessories or cable size, without prior written authorisation
  • An incorrect rope kit used in place of Savwinch's specific kits
  • A change of ownership not notified to Savwinch, including second-hand boat sales where the winch is already fitted

  • 880 CS™ Truck Tarp Winch: 1 year (Motor & Gearbox)
  • 1500 CS™ Truck Tarp Winch: 2 years (Motor & Gearbox)
  • 1500 SS™ Truck Tarp Winch: 3 years (Motor & Gearbox)
  • 900PH Capstan Winch: 2 years
  • Commercial and custom-built applications: 1 year, unless otherwise specified by Savwinch
  • Accessories (bowsprit, anchor swivels, guide rollers, and more): 2 years

Liability

Responsibility for selecting the right product for the intended use rests solely with the buyer. Savwinch's warranty excludes all other warranties or liabilities to the extent permitted by law, and does not cover labour costs for installation or removal, even where a request is approved. Savwinch is not liable for death, personal or third party injury, loss, damage, or any harm arising from accidents, natural disasters, use outside a product's intended application, incorrect installation, or unauthorised modification or repair, including any resulting revenue loss while awaiting repair or replacement.

Other Rights and Law

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state and country and are not affected by this warranty. This warranty is governed by the laws of the state or country of the first end user at the time of purchase.
