Savwinch are the first and only company to offer such an extensive warranty. We believe a premium product should include a premium warranty. All warranty repairs and concerns are dealt with in house at our head office in Melbourne.

All warranty claims are reliant on proof of purchase. For all warranty claims, please complete the below form and send it back to us. Upon receiving your warranty claim form, a Savwinch representative will be in contact to discuss your warranty claim.

Savwinch (Limited) Warranty for AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND (Subject to conditions and exclusions. Warranty  offered in other countries may vary from this) 

Winch ranges: 

CS Winch Range: 3 Years warranty for Motor & Gearbox, 316 Drum  

SS Winch Range: 5 Years warranty for Motor & Gearbox, 316 Drum  

SSS Winch Range: 7 Years warranty for Motor & Gearbox, 316 Drum 

880 CS Truck Tarp Winch – 1 year warranty for Motor & Gearbox

1500 CS Truck Tarp Winch – 2 Years warranty for Motor & Gearbox 

1500 SS Truck Tarp Winch – 3 Years warranty for Motor & Gearbox

900PH Capstan Winch: 2 Years 

Electrical switching gear  – 2 Years

All Commercial and Custom-built applications have 1 year warranty unless otherwise specified by  Savwinch.  

Accessories:  

Bowsprit, Anchor Swivels, Guide rollers, etc, 2 Years warranty.  

Switching gear, Electronic Fast Fall, Switches, Circuit Breaker, Solenoid etc, 2 Years warranty on internal  failure (except for any water damage units) 

ALL PRODUCT CLAIM RETURNS MUST BE APPROVED BY SAVWINCH BEFORE PRODUCTS ARE SENT BACK TO SAVWINCH HEAD OFFICE*

No Warranty is offered on the following (other than consumer guarantees):  

Rope & Chain Kits, (unless a manufacturing error is identified Prior to use)

Wiring looms and or electrical connectors 

Nuts and bolts 

Anchor (unless a manufacturing error is identified Prior to use) 

Warranty will be void if: 

-Damage is deemed to be uncontrollable corrosion, water ingress  

-Damage or loss is due to any act, matter or omission beyond the reasonable control of Savwinch  Damage or loss is due to normal wear and tear on any products  

-Failure to maintain and service product/s, and or neglect or misuse  

-Any product that has been opened and or tampered with, or modified without prior authorisation from  Savwinch  

-Damage or loss is due to an accident or natural disaster Improper installation and or unspecified applications*, including the use of non OEM, accessories and cable  size (without prior written authorisation from Savwinch) 

*Note: Winches must be used for lifting and dropping Anchors that are the correct weight for the correct size boat, except for custom built units (specified and authorised by Savwinch). Truck Tarp winches are only  to be used within a truck tarps pulley system and not push beyond their max loads. 

Savwinch has not been notified of ownership change upon the exchange, this is included in second hand boat sales where the winch is already fitted

STEP BY STEP Process for Claiming Warranty – Direct Customer  

1. Complete Customer warranty claim form, once APPROVED by SAVWINCH HEAD OFFICE send back goods being claimed under warranty. 
2. Customer to send goods back to Savwinch head office at their own cost. (In Australia or place of  purchase for International customers).
3. Include a copy of the tax invoice from the original purchase,  along with the warranty claim form. 
4. Once goods are returned Savwinch to inspect goods and repair/replace as required. 
5.  Savwinch will send/return goods to customer, covering the cost of freight. 
6.  Only send out replacement goods once the original equipment has been received. 

All warranty claims must be made promptly, delays in claims may risk claims being accepted. Customers  claiming warranty must first contact Savwinch Melbourne, via phone or online claim form, and have a valid  invoice purchased from Savwinch or an authorised Savwinch Dealer and or agent. Lack of proof of purchase  may void warranty.  

All warranty claims on custom applications will be assessed on an individual, case by case basis. 

Warranty and benefits of warranty cannot be transferred to subsequent owners, unless otherwise specified  by Savwinch. 

Where a clear decision cannot be made regarding a warranty claim, product/s will be sent back to Savwinch  Melbourne at customers own expense, to be tested and assessed before proceeding with any warranty  action.  

Freight  

Freight costs on any warranty claim will be paid by the customer, unless otherwise specified by Savwinch.  

Liability 

Responsibility for the selection of products appropriate for the use intended by the buyer shall rest solely  with the buyer. Savwinch accepts no responsibility for any such selection and or impulse buys. 

Savwinch’s warranty shall be to the exclusion of all other warranties or liabilities (to the extent permitted by law).  

In particular, Savwinch shall not be liable in any way for any of the following: Death, personal and/or third party injury, loss, damages and/or any harm attributed to, accidents, natural disasters, and/or use of any  Savwinch product in applications for which the product was not intended to be used, and/or incorrect  installation of said products, and/or any unauthorised modification or repairs, including any anticipated  revenue loss and or damages while waiting for repairs or replacement of parts (in the case of Charter boat  companies and/or associated business). 

Other rights/Law

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other legal rights, which vary, from state to  state and country to country. This warranty does not affect those rights, as permitted by the law. This  warranty shall be governed by and read in accordance with the laws of the state or country of the first end  user at the time of purchase of the Savwinch product/s and not beyond that.  

Warranty for purchases outside of AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND 

• 2 year warranty on all parts (excluding rope kits) for recreational users 
• If deemed as a genuine warranty, parts will be airfreighted at no charge to the customer city and state of purchase anywhere in the world. No additional costs will be incurred by Savwinch.
