Welcome to Savwinch Boat Anchor Winches!

Paul Worsteling - IFish

We chose to partner with Paul Worsteling from IFish as he is arguably the most highly regarded fisherman in Australia and has been a supporter of our products for many years.

IFISH shows philosophy is simple: fishing, family and fun. IFISH travels to all corners of Australia and the globe in search of the ultimate angling experience. From adrenalin fuelled fishing action in the wilds of Alaska to a quiet meandering stream in Tasmania.

Paul Worsteling and his family have been using Savwinch Drum Winches for over 10 years, with Pauls Father having one of our original Drum Winches. Paul has proudly been using our Winches since 2017, having a 1500SS with one of our Electronic Fast Fall Units on True Blue, his Stabicraft 2400 Supercab. Additionally Paul has one of our 1000SS Winches and our Electronic Fast Fall System on his Babi Stabi, a Stabicraft 2050 Frontier.

It’s important for us to do business with good people and Paul is no exception. Savwinch have chosen to partner with Paul as he is down to earth, a great fisherman, and an all around good person. Savwinch are proud to partner with Paul Worsteling as the whole team at Savwinch have always been huge fans of Paul Worsteling and IFISH.

“Awesome product that has never let me down. Delivered by a company owned by great Australian people who love their product and look after their customers. Very happy to own several Savwinch’s.”

IFish host, Paul Worsteling, is arguably one of the most recognisable faces in recreational fishing in Australia with an unmistakable laugh, passion and enthusiasm for the sport.

Paul’s television career started with guest appearances on Escape with ET (CH9) and Rex hunt Fishing Adventures (CH7). This led to a four year stint as Rex Hunt’s co-host, until the show ended and Paul started the popular IFISH program on the TEN network. IFISH is now regarded by many as Australia’s premier fishing program, receiving Logie Nominations in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Paul is actively involved in the community and loves helping on Mates Day (taking disabled people who love fishing for a day on the bay) and Kids Come Try Fishing days where up to 500 young kids receive fishing tuition. Paul’s Tackleworld stores donate over $100,000 a year to community events, fundraisers and charities.

His angling accomplishments are far reaching. Paul holds two Australian Anglers Association National Records for mako and thresher sharks, a state record for Zebra fish and several IGFA (International Game Fishing Association) World records for species including Giant Trevally, Golden Trevally and Australian Salmon. He has won countless fishing competitions and club championships, but would much prefer to fish for the love of the sport, than for competition these days. Along with his media interests, Paul still owns and operates his Tackle World Cranbourne store with his wife Cristy, where they have now both worked for over 25 years and Tackleworld Mornington which opened its doors in 2013.
