We build three drum winch ranges: CS™, SS™ and SSS™. Same power, same performance, different materials, so the choice comes down to how much stainless steel you want between your anchor and the weather.
CS™ Series
316 stainless steel drum, 316 stainless steel gearbox flange, aluminium gearbox with a marine-grade, double powder-coated motor. No covers on the motor: we use a patented injection-moulded seal inside instead, so there's no gap for condensation to sit in and rot the motor from the inside out. Spray the motor and gearbox with a marine-grade lubricant a few times a year and it will keep performing for years.
SS™ Series
The same 316 stainless steel drum and gearbox flange as the CS™ range, but the motor casing is a solid piece of machined 316 stainless steel rather than a coated industrial motor. Not a sleeve over the top. Solid stainless, machined.
SSS™ Series
All 316 stainless steel: drum, motor casing, gearbox flange and gearbox. This is the one that still looks new after ten years in salt water.
