The world's smallest full 316 stainless steel drum winch.

Our international award winning Drum Winches feature specifically designed marine grade patented motors and oversized Worm Drive Gearboxes, and are IP68 rated to suit even the harshest environments. The motors can be moved into 12 different positions to ensure that each Drum Winch can be installed on almost any vessel. Paired with our EFF™ Electronic Fast Fall System, our Drum Winches can reach speeds of over 100m per minute.

The Stainless Steel Series (SSS™) is the world's first and only complete 316 stainless steel winch. Like the SS™ range, the SSS™ features a fully sealed 316 stainless steel motor, but also a 316 stainless steel gearbox. Machined to fine tolerances and utilising O-ring seals, the SSS™ series motors are completely submersible without the use of sealants or glues, so corrosion is no longer a concern. This is the Rolls Royce of winches.

The 450SSS package includes 45m of 6mm double braid rope and 5m chain, and is suitable for boats up to 4.5m (15ft).

Width 295mm, height 190mm. 316 stainless steel motor, gearbox, and drum.

If you demand the best, this is your winch.

Two things inside this winch that you will not find on a spec sheet comparison.

Savwinch drum winch motor housing shown disassembled with internal components

Patented injection mould P a t e n t e d i n j e c t i o n m o u l d

Sealing the motor was not enough. A patented injection mould fills every air pocket inside the motor, so there is nowhere for condensation to form.

Condensation is one of the main causes of motor failure in the marine industry. Once water takes hold, rust and corrosion follow. The casing is a solid block with no covers or sleeves.

EFF™ Electronic Fast Fall System E F F ™ E l e c t r o n i c F a s t F a l l S y s t e m

The world's first Electronic Fast Fall System speeds the motor up on the way down, almost as fast as you can freely drop your anchor. Released in 2011, this award winning patented design is mechanical clutch free.

Every Savwinch drum winch is EFF™ compatible.
