Our international award winning Drum Winches feature specifically designed marine grade patented motors and oversized Worm Drive Gearboxes, and are IP68 rated to suit even the harshest environments. The motor can be moved into 12 different positions to ensure that the 7000SSS Drum Winch can be installed on almost any vessel.
The Stainless Steel Series (SSS™) features a complete stainless steel motor and gearbox, designed locally and exclusively for Savwinch. Machined to fine tolerances and utilising O-ring seals, the SSS™ series motors are completely submersible without the use of sealants or glues, so corrosion is no longer a concern. The 7000SSS is suitable for boats up to 30m (98ft).

Three things inside this winch that you will not find on a spec sheet comparison.
Sealing the motor was not enough. A patented injection mould fills every air pocket inside the motor, so there is nowhere for condensation to form.
Condensation is one of the main causes of motor failure in the marine industry. Once water takes hold, rust and corrosion follow. The casing is a solid block with no covers or sleeves.
Drop your anchor without power. An allen key disengages the drum so it spins freely, and a hand crank can be fitted to wind the winch back in if your battery fails.
Fitted to the 1000 model and above
The world's first Electronic Fast Fall System speeds the motor up on the way down, almost as fast as you can freely drop your anchor. Released in 2011, this award winning patented design is mechanical clutch free.
